Just a heads up. I was shopping for new tires for my V-Strom on Pete's Superbikes website, and noticed the very reasonable prices he has for scooter tires. I'm quoting the price for Burgman 400 tires, since we now have five "Baby Burgmans" in the group, and I know that Tims new Downtown 300 uses the same size tire as the Burg 400.
Metzeler Feel Free
120/80 14 $65.95
150/70 13 $69.95
Michelin Power Pure
120/80 14 $86.95
150/70 13 $63.95
120/80 14 $60.95
150/70 13 $65.95
They have Bridgestone Hoops at about double the price of the others.
The Diablos are great tires, rather sticky, but not the longest wearing. The Power Pures are dual compound, sticky, long wearing, but feel strange on some road surfaces. (according to reports on BUSA) And the Feel Frees are good all rounders that wear well.
Pete's Superbike is a very well regarded tire (and other stuff) supplier in Montreal. It used to cost $20 to ship two tires to Toronto.
BTW, a set of Metzeler Tourances for my motorcycle is going to set me back $268.90, and that's a very good price.
