Midnight at the Oasis - a benefit for music education programs

Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra (formerly WAMSO - Minnesota Orchestra Volunteer Association) is hosting a gala on Saturday, June 1 at the Downtown Marriott in Minneapolis. We are looking for volunteers to help. Shifts start as early as 4:30pm and end as late as 11:30pm. It's a wonderful event for a great cause.

Friends of the Minnesota Orchestra is a separate nonprofit from the Orchestra. There are separate staff, budgets, projects and board of directors. We are not the fundraising arm of the Orchestra, rather our mission is to create opportunities to bring the power of music to children, families and adults. The funds we raise go toward music education programs such as Kinder Konzerts and the Young Artist Competition.

The theme was great. It is exciting to watch other people send money for a good cause.

I just emailed the contact at mnorch.org and she said that there are only spots left for the tear-down shift (11:00-1:00). Unfortunately I will be useless at that time. Is anyone else confirmed for the event but something has come up? I am happy to help out if there is work. :)
