Theo Wirth Trails Maintenance Day

Every year the trails need to be prepared for winter. Join the Loppet Foundation and REI as we begin clearing trails, pruning, seeding, mulching, raking and removing buckthorn - all in anticipation of the upcoming ski season. Wear boots, work pants and gloves to protect you for a hard days work. Bring your favorite saws, shovels, rakes, wheel barrows, loping sheers as we groom the trails for snow. Come with your friends and family - all are welcome. Register in advance for a free pizza lunch provided by REI. REI will also provide free volunteer t-shirts. For questions or more information, please call the Loppet office at[masked]-5330.

I'm sorry we are not going to be able to attend. My son got sick. Hopefully we will be able to participate in an event soon! Good luck tomorrow!

We didn't register with REI and now there is a waiting list. Can we still participate?

Hi folks, Here is my situation. I did this last year and it was very fun so I was really looking forward to it this year. I had some unexpected home repairs that needed to be scheduled before the snow flies since it involves having a POD on the street. I moved out of my home last weekend and the movers are scheduled to move me back in this Saturday 11-1. I am so so sorry but I just don't see how I'm going to make it. Is there anyone willing to step up as "organizer"? All that means is that you are the person to gather folks together. They arrange people into small groups and assign a task. I went by myself last year and joined a very nice group, everyone is friendly so that's an option for you as well. I checked the forecast and it's supposed to be a beautiful day Saturday. Let me know what you think and again I'm sorry about this.

I did this last year and don't remember needing hammers but shovels, loppers and hand saws are good. Bring what you are willing to lug around. They also have tools for those who don't have any. Hope that's helpful.
