1 in 6 Minnesota kids will not get enough to eat today. In partnership with Target, Second Harvest Heartland coordinates monthly grocery distributions through a mobile food pantry in local elementary schools. Each child leaves the Meals for Minds Pantry with 30 lbs. of food, enough for 25 meals and a chance at a full future. When you volunteer with Meals for Minds, you sort food, set up food stations, provide friendly service and put food directly into the hands of our hungry neighbors. This is a great opportunity for individuals, small groups and corporate groups looking to give direct, personal service in a fun and energetic environment.

There is a small lot available at the school as well as on-street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
Other things to note:
All volunteers need to wear closed toed shoes. Please dress in comfortable clothing - t-shirts or sweatshirts with jeans are fine. We encourage volunteers to limit their personal belongs at these events to only what they can carry as we cannot guarantee a secure location to place coats, purses and other personal belongings at any Meals for Minds site.
Upon arrival you will sign-in, receive a name tag and an orientation giving the details of the event.
