See the site's web page for a map and description. This event will be led by the Lost Valley Prairie Site Steward, Jim Smetana. No advance sign-up, but contact us if you have a large group.

Directions: Located from the Twin Cities, S on US Hwy 61 to MN Hwy 95, then N on MN 95 to Co Rd 78, then E on Co Rd 78 to Nyberg Avenue, then .5 mi N on Nyberg. Park at the end of the road. It's about a 40 minute drive from Minneapolis.  Some of us may want to carpool or meet there.

I started out, but the freeway was just too scary for me this morning. I'm sorry for the late rsvp change.

I am still planning on coming, but don't expect to be there until 11. I'll just look for the smoke

I'll be coming from S. Mpls (Powderhorn) and would be happy to drive if anyone wants to meet at my place. Also, bring a pitch fork if you have one. It looks like it's gonna be a beautiful day.

This event is NOT NOT NOT cancelled.
The DNR has not been able to a winter "burn" due to lack of snow in years so they are taking full advantage of this season; we were out there in -10 last month. Bring a pitch fork, wear gaiters and/or snow shoes if you want. If you don't have them, you'll just get an extra work out.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
