Feed My Starving Children, Coon Rapids

Join us to help package food for starving children around the world. This is only a one and a half hour commitment from 6:00-7:30 but does so much good. We'll grab a bite and/or beverage afterward if enough people are interested.

Please only RSVP yes if you're sure you will be able to attend. If you are not sure now, please RSVP closer to the date of the event as spots usually open up.

Consider bringing a monetary donation as well. There are also opportunities to purchase shirts and other crafts at the end of the event. Proceeds go toward purchasing food.

Each meal we package costs about 25 cents in ingredients. Here's a challenge for those who are willing and able to accept it - SAVE YOUR QUARTERS - from now until the event and bring your bag of quarters with you to donate.

  • The cost to FMSC for these meals is about $50 a box. That is less than a quarter a meal.
  • 93% of total donations received goes directly to our feeding program.
  • FMSC is named one of the nation's Most Trustworthy Charities by the Charity Review Council, and has earned Charity Navigator's highest 4-star rating for 6 consecutive years.

Got something new to package - for littler ones -think it was called Potatoes - W. Only three ingredients so it seemed to go faster when filling the bags. The teams were competitive which benefited the total boxes completed. Fun time.

Shawna, looks like there's already a waiting person.. so perhaps it's not going to work. But yup, that was me. We were epic at bocce and ladder golf. We were also more humble than anyone else, if I recall correctly ;) Perhaps we should have gone pro.. did we miss our calling?

Hi David, we usually have people drop. If you sign up on the waiting list you will likely move up. Thanks, Kevin

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
