Chet Atkins, Laura Nyro, Stones, John Dowland, Scott Joplin, Jackson Brown, Dylan, Rodgers and Hart, Hoagy Charmichael, Blues, Carter Stanley, lots more from a totally eclectic list. I don't categorize music except by what I like and what I don't.
I love to sing, with or without others. I do a lot of solo playing, but together is better.
Fine Knack for Ladies, by John Dowland, I heard Sting do it and I love it. That's today. In a few weeks I will learn that one and start on something, perhaps by Scott Joplin or The Stanley Brothers.
Since I was a child, and I am 56, go figure. I do a lot of solo stuff, and play well, but I like to play with others and have no qualms about playing 3 chord songs as long as they are done well, or at least with feeling.
I have been playing with Carla Lynne Hall for the past year, practicing stuff andhaving great fun. I love these events with so many friends.
