In every place in the world, there are plants growing that can provide amazing benefits to us -- if we learn to identify them and know how to use them! Many herbs are nutritive -- giving us minerals, vitamins and proteins. Other herbs are tonic and adaptogenic, tuning up and regulating our major body systems (like our hormonal and immune systems) with exotic compounds unique to those herbs... and many other herbs yet are medicinal and cleansing, to be used only occasionally with care and specific purpose.
Each herb, of all the great many thousands that grow on our planet, has a specific method of preparation that is ideal for that herb. We will explore using herbs as teas, infusions, decoctions, and tinctures. You will learn how to determine which method of preparation is appropriate for any given herb, by knowing basic things about the plant (or plant part) you are using.
I will demonstrate all four methods so you can see how it works. You will also get to taste delicious examples!

Hey Alice! I'm thinking I'll make infusions of nettle and oatstraw, and decoctions of eleuthero and burdock to sample... those are especially tasty examples :) Some kind of tincture, too... I'm glad you're coming!
