Make Your Own Healthy Superfood Chocolates!

Just in time for Valentine's Day!

Imagine satisfying your desire for sweets & at the same time, flooding your body with healthy essential fatty acids, minerals, healing enzymes, neurotransmitter precursors, and boosting your energy and mood and enhancing your immunity with adaptogenic herbs.  Is that even possible?  Did you think eating sweets had to be an indulgence that would compromise your health and fill you up with unwanted empty calories?  Think again...

Come learn how to create chocolates and other sweet treats that contain so many essential nutrients they could truly be a meal replacement (and often are for me, for the many years I have been making them for myself, my toddler son and my friends), with NO filler ingredients or empty calories... where every single ingredient used satisfies a specific nutrient requirement and gives blissful mood boosts, while at the same time rounding out the decadent flavor and texture of these yummy little morsels!

You will learn:

  • 3 different recipes I have created, AND how to improvise new recipes on your own with the ingredients you have on hand:  by learning about various interchangable ingredients (and their ideal ratios) that provide the core components of making the best treats -- creamy, sweet, salt, bitter, wet, dry, sticky, oily, etc.
  • More info about my favorite superfood ingredients and why they are healthy for us... so you can choose the ingredients in your treats for specific purposes:  for children, athletes, the improvement of specific health conditions, for intense studying/mental focus, etc.

Our class will go from 12:00 until 2:00 PM (please arrive at 11 to sign in), and
I will have a few batches of treats already made for you to sample.  You will take home a handout with all the information required for you to continuously create the best raw superfood treats EVER!

Here are the original recipes I'll be making for this class:

  • Cosmic Chocolate Balls (they taste like brownies!)
  • Peppermint Chocolates
  • Snickerdoodles (w/ spirulina!)

I am planning on preparing a bunch of these in advance & packaging them into pretty little bags, which you will be able to buy as last-minute Valentine's gifts for your loved ones!

Also, my friend Melissa of Loving Superfoods (a local source for raw superfoods) will be at our meetup, and she will bring plenty of the superfood ingredients we're using in our class, available for you to purchase right there, for extra convenience!

SCHEDULE:

11:00 - Arrive and register

11:30 - Enjoy a complimentary bowl of warm soup and/or farm-veggie salad before our class

12:00 - Superfood Chocolate Workshop begins!

2:00 - Take a fresh-air tour of the Farm, and check out the farm store for freshly picked local organic produce

Remember to bring extra warm clothing to wear during the tour afterward -- it may be chilly!

PLEASE RSVP SOON SO WE HAVE AN IDEA OF HOW MANY ARE COMING FOR PARKING PURPOSES.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

This class was so fun!! We tasted a variety of delicious superfood chocolates, and talked for hours about superfood recipes and various other things. People lingered for hours after the class "ended", enjoying the energy. I will definitely do this class again!

The hosts had a lot of knowledge about raw foods and were eager to share that knowledge. I enjoyed the class.
