Good Reads and Good Eats - Ann Arbor September Meetup

Join us on Tuesday September 2nd 2014 at 7 pm. Please read Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford. We will meet at Miki Japanese Restaurant. You are strongly encouraged to join the waiting list. Almost everyone on the waiting list ends up getting to attend because the early responders often have something else come up and then change their RSVP to "no" - which automatically adds the first person on the waiting list to the attendees.

Please bring $1 to help cover the costs of using the Meetup website and cash to make paying the check easier for our large group.

Darn! Something came up and I can't make this. And this book was my recommendation! Have fun!

Actually, I liked the book a lot! My table seemed to like it too, though there were some mixed thoughts about the ending. I really liked the historical aspect of it - it seems like we don't often hear about Japanese internment.

Stuck in traffic can't make it. I did not like this book at all. It was trying too hard. It was boring. Not engaging. Very predictable. I dragged my self to finish it. Hope that we will have a better choice for the next one

I'm getting ready to go out of town but I'd still like to comment about the book. I just never believed that the main characters were 12 years-old. They acted and talked more like 16 year olds.

I won't make it as it's the first day of school for my Kindergartener and Preschooler! Just too much going on that day :)
