It's that time again! Please send me your suggestions for future reads. Books should be available in paperback and ~350 pages.

I've recently started 'Motherless Brooklyn' by Johnathan Lethem. It's a detective story, the narrator for which is a young man with Tourette's. I don't know how realistically Tourette's is represented but it's reading well at the moment. 311 pages... Definitely available at the A2 library.

I've also recently come across 'A Thousand Acres' by Jane Smiley. It's an older novel, a re-telling of the King Lear story; it won the Pulitzer in 1992 and was made into a film in 1997. 384 pages ... Also available at the A2 library but I'm not sure how many copies. I might currently have the only one! I haven't tracked down who the initial 'voice' belongs to yet but I'm guessing it's the 'Cordelia' character.
