Humanists think wanting to help others comes from evolution:  survival is enhanced when we share, care and make and follow the rules.

A believer might tell you goodness comes from God and those who don’t believe will steal, kill, rape, cheat, etc.

Humanists think our system of laws, ethical education from the home, school and society combined with the economic and cultural conditions one is born into are the primary factors that determine one’s moral development.

Christopher Hitchens (God is Not Great, How Religion Poisons Everything) thought the greatest obstacle to the spread of nontheism is the widely held erroneous idea that humans can be good only if they believe in God.

Humanist Chaplain at Harvard, Greg Epstein (Good without God: What a Billion Nonreligious People Do Believe), writes that we can lead good and moral lives without the supernatural, without higher powers . . . without a God.

Join our team of Godless DoGooders and help us volunteer at food banks, homeless shelters and more.

Reason and Reality, Not Religion.   Science and Sense, Not Superstition and Nonsense.
