This book club is for women in Goodyear or anywhere in the West Valley to meet up and discuss books from women authors such as: Alice Sebold, Jodi Picoult, Stephanie Meyer, Audry Niffenegger, etc... the book list can be a group discussion as well.
I thought it would be great to start reading books of interest (from the authors stated above) that are also becoming or have been movies ( The Lovely Bones, The Time Travelers Wife, My Sister's Keeper, New Moon). So, if the group was interested we can also go see the movie (or rent it) after reading/discussing the book. Kind of a book club/chick flick club.
In terms of location, I thought we could mix it up and either go to Ground Control (a coffee shop which also serves beer/wine) or a local coffee shop that has room for a club or we can switch homes and have each of us bring something.
The next book on our list is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. This book was on Oprah's Book Club - check out the web cast and review.
