Requesting any Google Glass participants to be at the WWII National Memorial on 3 May 2014 no later than 11:55AM to meet the arrival of WWII veterans from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia as they visit, for the first time in their lives, the WWII memorial built in their honor. The Honor Flight Historic Triangle of Virginia (HFHTVA) veterans will be wearing green tee shirts and their guardians will be wearing yellow tee shirts. The goal is to capture candid moments of the veterans as they arrive, visit, and depart the memorial. For additional information about Honor Flight, the HFHTVA web site is: www.honorflighthtva.org. Their Facebook page is: Honor Flight HTVA. POC Kevin Ferrara will be creating a photo album on their Facebook page where Glass users can post photos as they see fit for veterans and their guardians to see.
If you can make it, bring your Glass and anything patriotic to welcome the WWII veterans. This is truly a "Journey of a Lifetime" for these veterans and anything we can do to support them is greatly appreciated.
