Polish some pages. Bring them on paper if they are ready to share.

1. I will bring something for you to do. Volunteers, please!

2. We will start with a few rules to define us. We will break them later if we wish.

3. We will work on a yearly calendar of venues, readings open to fiction lovers, gab sessions or just for fun activies. Sometimes you need a break.

4. You can paste a  copy of something you want me to talk about or share in the body of an email. If you don't trust that, you can bring something Sunday to Outback. I will have my cell phone--[masked]-6661. Or you can use snail mail if you prefer that I write comments on the page: ask for my address. Your choice. Just tell me what you are expecting. I would like to have something a few days before the first Meetup: Workshop One. We plan that one together.

5. I need help. If you like photography, you would like to take notes at a meeting, or help with the calendar,  or you know how to use Skype, please email me at [masked]. Let me know your talents.

Thanks for your interest and for your patience.  Hope to see you Sunday. Please RSVP.  I want to save a table in case Outback is busy early. (I don't want you to miss the meeting because you have company. We will work something out. Please call my home phone if you have a "situation". [masked]-3027.)

Hey Jessie, I plan to get a sampler to share. You can just get a drink. I plan to eat later in the evening myself. It is noisy, but I have talked and heard conversation there. This is mostly the calendar planning. Also, for people who don't trust the Internet, it will be perfect for hand delivering pages. One to ten pages to start. We will definitely plan the first Meetup in a quieter place. I don't know a lot about the quiet places to meet in the area, so that is another way that you could be helpful. If you cannot make it, please email suggestions to Juno. Hope to see you. Frankie

Outback is way out of my price range (not to mention noisy for writing) and it's the same day as a NaNo write-in, but I'm going to try and make it to meet everyone.

It's a small world now with internet. I must say the advantage in this group is that you can get feedback from me and other writers who will tell you what they think without any monetary benefit. I talked with a POD rep not long ago. I asked, "If my book stinks, will you still publish it?" She laughed and said, "We wouldn't tell you that." My point is this: you need feedback from real readers before you pay big bucks to publish your own. If some read people like/love it, you have a solid reason to publish.
I have a couple of responses from Readers Digest and Talcott Notch Literary Agency that I will share at the first formal meeting (not the organizational one.) Also, I will meet with just one person for organizing, but I hope there are several attendees. See you soon

I would love to attend...but finances won't allow it (it's a 200-mile round trip.) I'm happy to send work to you for critique if anyone is interested in remotely working with me. I'd also be happy to mail you copies (let me now how many copies--and how many pages?) Wish I could be there... :(

I'm also happy to offer critique if you want to email me word or pdf docs.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
