GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION

Dogs are welcome on this walk too (they may need to be kept on lead for some of the time).  All we ask is that they are friendly and well behaved. Event Hosts have the right to ask the member to leave, at any point, if they feel their dog(s) doesn't fit this criteria.  No Pitbulls or Akita's, or similar please.  (I have good reasons for this and will not be debating it on the event page).

Please note the walk may have to be cancelled  if it is raining heavily or snowing or if there are bad weather warnings it if in doubt on the day, please check on here before setting off for an update. I will then try to reschedule for the next available Sunday!

If you are running late, cant find us, or need to cancel at the last minute, please contact me Carolyn:[masked] (add your name if text) PLEASE bear with me as I am deaf so I will probably have to ask you to repeat for me do not leave voice mails as I cannot hear them.   Please note I will have no access to the meetup site from an hour prior to event start time.

Timings likely to differ if winter or summer time see individual event.

Open to suggestions for amendments to the frequency, timings & locations please send to me!

..............................................................................................

I would like to recce some suggested walks but need a volunteer or two as not wishing to do so by myself if you can spare some time please message me on site thanks in advance.

............................................................................

These are some of the suggestions for future walks.

There is Holly hill Country woodland park where you walk around the wooded park that leads out to the Hamble. (You can even pick wild samphire there!)

Titchfield Haven to Solent Breezes is lovely

LOS to Stokes Bay is also a good one to start with - level ground and you can go on down to Gilkicker if you are feeling energetic.

There is also the old Meon valley railway line walk from Wickham (as long or short as people want) and lots of choices for munchies in the area. Both walks are easy and on the flat but maybe a bit muddy at the mo.

Warsash foreshore to Swanick.

Nearer to home,The Wildgrounds are grange ,Thatchers Copse to the shore at Hill Head,

Old railway line gosport to Brockhurst which is a cycle/walkpath, :)

Holly Hill walk is great ....going from Warsash (free parking unless changed) along the estuary and into Holly hill and back again. Both walks are easy and on the flat but maybe a bit muddy at the mo.

1. The cliff and beach walk starting from the beach huts at Titchfield Haven and heading out towards Solent Breezes. Also takes you a little inland through some forest and gravel tracks in a rural setting - you can lunch afterwards in the Osborne View Pub or the Haven Cafe.

2. A walk through the Alver Valley country park (lee-on-Solent) starting at Browndown. Continue on through copses and tracks through open fields to finish for lunch at the Red lion Pub in Stubbington.

3. Coastal Walk from LOS to Stokes bay - lunch at Pebbles restaurant or Bayside Cafe

Have attached some links to local walks which are hopefully useful.

Although new to Gosport I've lived in the area for a while now so am familiar with most of the suggested walks if this helps...

Henry

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
