Dinner @ Fado's Irish Pub!!

It's been a long winter, and it's started to make a lot of people I know a little bit anti-social!! So, why not encourage spring to come our way with a wee bit of Irish spirit (or spirits, if you're so inclined!)?

"Fadó (pronounced fuh-doe) is an Irish term meaning 'long ago'. At fadó we are telling the tale of Ireland's rich and celebrated Pub culture - a culture of hearty food and drink, good music, warm hospitality and friendly banter.

Fadó was designed and manufactured completely in Ireland and then brought to Atlanta for installation.

The food at fadó goes well beyond your typical 'pub grub'. We use only high quality ingredients and a from-scratch menu to bring our customers Irish favorites, American standards and a number of original dishes that you can only get at fadó.

We're known for a great place to have a few bites over drinks with friends and the place that works for everyone when it comes to dinner out. We look forward to showing you why we say at fadó there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met yet."

Our reservation is for 7:30, so we recommend being there around 7:20. Parking is located just behind the restaurant for a nominal fee (I believe it was $3). We'll do drinks and dinner and unwind a bit.

For those looking to dance and drink, around 10:30 every Friday night, Fado's becomes a singles' hotspot, typically catering to the upscale professional crowd in their 20's and 30's. The DJ is on the first level, and there is also a rooftop bar and smoking area at the top of the building that's great for mingling.

However, if you're looking for more of an eclectic theme, a group of us will be leaving to attend our friend Oni's birthday party at The Shelter (about two miles down the road.) around 10 PM. All are welcome; parking is free, but cover is $10. The evening's theme is "Gods & Goddesses" (costumes are completely optional.)

We've had quite a few events at Fado over the years, and they're always a wonderful way to get to know a new crowd of people, make new friends, and see a new side of Atlanta. This is a very newbie-friendly event, since there will be something for everyone.

Please be mindful of the RSVP policy. I will be taking attendance for my group for the dinner portion of the evening, and those who repeatedly no-show will be removed. Looking forward to seeing you there!!

The mezzanine space at Fado is great for mingling, plus a good turn out of nice, approachable people. Definately worth the trip from Snellville!

Hey guys! The reservation may be under my name, or it may be under Meetup, or both. Just tell them you're with Alayna's party on the Mezzanine, and head up to the second floor. (Yes, Amanda, it's that little level between the first floor and the rooftop. That's why we had to cap attendance, so people weren't sitting on the floor for dinner!)

I just added 5 more spaces. but that will be it. When the event is full, we're full. We also have some folks from the North Fulton Young Professional Meetup showing up and personal friends from FB. :) If you're signed up, you're 100% committed to attending. There are people who want to go to this and can't because the event is full...so if you no-show, it majorly sucks for those other people.

I am looking forward to meeting so many new people, and catching up with old friends! It should be a blast! :))

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
