Blue Jay Slim & The Tone Blasters @ The Fireside Bar and Grill

Join me and my friends Blue Jay Slim & The Tone Blasters for some hard-rockin blues.  Hang out for a drink and a nosh.  Band starts at 9:00, but I recommend getting there earlier.  When they last played here in January it was SRO!

Blue Jay Slim and his band the Tone Blasters is the latest project for the man who has recorded under a number of different names like "J Byrd Slim", "Les DeWitt", and "Jay Pinkus".

His latest CD entitled "They Call Me The Boogie Man" features such outstanding original songs as Hard Times - a statement about the world we live in today - and Finger Licking Good - a funny yet can't-get-it-out-of-your head song about love and lust and mistrust.

Originally from Philly, Blue Jay has played in many local bands in the Philly and New York club scene before moving to Los Angeles to Perform and work as a studio musician. He has performed or recorded with such artists as Ronnie Baker Brooks, Lonnie Shields, Roger Girke, Billy Branch, Trudy Lynn, Georgie Bonds, Andrew "Jr. Boy" Jones, Stargard, Hall & Oates, The Dixie Dregs, The Soul Brother Six, Billy Harner, The J-Boys, Robert Knight, Rick Matthews, The Tymes, The Delphonics, Biscuit Miller, Michael Hill and Fantastic Johnny C. He also recorded the sound track for Cheech & Chong "The Next Movie".

The Tone Blasters are Kenny-Boy Githens on Fender Bass and Bob "Bam Bam" Ridge on drums.

The Blastettes will be making an appearance as well!

The Fireside is a cozy bar and grill inside the Brunswick Zone.  Sit around the fire and listen to the music.  Can't get much better than that!  The Bar & Grill menu will satisfy your hunger with delicious appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, salads, pizza, kids meals…and of course, irresistible desserts!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
