Cantus Novus ("New Song") is an elite chamber choir who presents choral performances showcasing repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. Founded in 2000 as the Bucks County Motet Singers, they have grown from an intimate group of choral friends to an established musical presence in the Delaware Valley. Cantus Novus' musical focus can be best summed up as "roots and wings." Their programming spans several centuries, honoring the rich a cappella choral tradition that springs out of motets of the Renaissance -- their "roots," and also presenting audiences with wide-ranging musical offerings from the best of contemporary composers, which demonstrate the "wings" of the choral musical future. This year's theme for the Spring concerts are: Celebrate Spring! A musical bouquet of joy, love and laughter. Tickets are $20, plus a meetup fee of $1.00 to help offset website costs. This is a must for anyone who enjoys choral singing. If you haven't heard a choral concert yet, this is the one to see! Unfortunately, this is a fairly small venue which is always full for these concerts & seating is limited.
