Attendance disclaimer - All events are attended at your own risk. We are not responsible for unfortunate occurrences that may take place in your life. There is no pre-screening of age, marital status, sexual orientation, profession or personal background and no responsibility for those who misrepresent themselves. The events are open to the general public.
No-Show Policy - Members who RSVP, email or call to attend a dinner event and do not show up without notifying me in advance two times will be removed from the group. Many of the restaurants are very busy and it is not fair to the other members due to limited seating. Being an Organizer or Assistant Organizer takes time and planning. Please show some consideration and thoughtfulness when deciding to attend an event.
Guest Policy - I have had many instances of people assuming they could bring a guest to an event even though they were unable to add a "+1" to their RSVP. If you are unable to add a "+1", that means NO GUESTS ARE PERMITTED at that event. This rule applies to ALL House Parties. These are private homes and ONLY members with a PHOTO of their FACE can attend. If you don't have a face shot, you may attend only after attending at least 3 public events. This is for the safety of our members who graciously open their homes.
There is also a space consideration. I have a small apartment, and since I must limit the number of attendees, I do not allow guests in order that members can attend. Please honor this.
Removal from an event - Members who register for a dinner event and then don't follow up with a reconfirmation when requested by preferably telephone, or alternatively by a direct email, will be removed from that event.
Dues - $1.00 per year collected at your first event. That's a BARGAIN! I do not collect dues for profit. Dues cover the $144/year Meetup charge and other miscellaneous expenses of running a group.
