I was raised attending a liberal & affluent Lutheran church & even confirmed, but by late Junior High School to early High School I had read enough of existentialist philosophy and history to become an atheist and freethinker.
I majored in philosophy as an undergraduate at Hamilton College (with a history minor) – and I went on to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching history degree from Bennington College. I have taught high school for many years.
