Dear Friend,
Breaking news: Handel just resigned as Vice President of Public Policy for Komen for the Cure.1
This is an important step for the organization and wouldn’t have been possible without tens of thousands of people like you getting involved and demanding her resignation.
But Planned Parenthood isn't out of the woods yet.
Komen CEO, Nancy Brinker, has been deliberate about not committing to funding them in the future. Planned Parenthood is the only health care option for millions of low-income women nationwide, and their funding from Komen for the Cure is critical to saving lives.
We need to let them know that Planned Parenthood matters to millions of people all over the country and we're still going to be watching their actions long after the media spotlight fades. Can you sign the petition to CEO Nancy Brinker demanding that Komen for the Cure publicly commit to funding Planned Parenthood for the long haul?

Komen's CEO, Nancy Brinker, has demonstrated a pattern of deliberately misleading the public about the facts around Komen's decision to defund Planned Parenthood. First, by claiming that they had a great deal of public support for the decision, and second by claiming that Handel had nothing to do with the decision.2 In fact, Handel "openly acknowledge[s]" her role in the decision.3
Brinker and her Board owe it to their supporters and stakeholders to come clean and publicly commit to funding Planned Parenthood's work into the future.
