Late Saturday Rush Limbaugh proved that together we can make an impact on anything. You might have heard that late last week he called Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke disgusting and outrageous sexual slurs.
“What does it say about the college co-ed Susan [sic] Fluke who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex? What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute.” - Rush Limbaugh 2/29/12
You and thousands of others like you stood up and put enormous pressure on Rush to apologize - and on Saturday, he did.
Rush’s apology may have been half-hearted, but it shows that together we are much stronger than any extreme right-wing radio shock jock. The Republican war on women will continue, but this victory demonstrates our power when we come together.
Thank you for all of your hard work!
P.S. Can you chip in three dollars to help us continue our rapid-response efforts against right-wing extremism?
