Fw: Draft Wendy Davis to replace Rick Perry

This sounds like "an idea whose time has come."  Gov. Rick Perry is pandering to the religious fundamentalist extremists and is particularly dangerous to the cause of women's (& other humans') rights.  Sen. Wendy Davis has stood up for the most fundamental right of women:  Reproductive Freedom.  I have  heard that Texas women are "Something Else" in their ability to be strong & incredibly powerful.  Wendy Davis proved that last night.  She's on the side of Progressives & would advance the cause of women's rights tremendously if she were elected governor of  Texas.  It's "About Time" that we have a Woman in the governor's chair in Texas.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Texas has EVER had a female governor.  It's About TIME!

Norma, please sign the petition to encourage Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis to enter the 2014 gubernatorial race. Click here to sign the petition.

In 2014, Texas Gov. Rick Perry may be running for an unprecedented fourth term. We'll know soon enough. Either way, voters will be deciding on their governor next year.

With changing demographics shaking up the state’s electorate, Texas is ready to turn blue and Wendy Davis proved she has the strength to stand against right-wing ideologues that want to stop it from happening.

Tuesday night's epic filibuster was a national phenomenon that presents the opportunity to turn Texas blue ahead of schedule. Texas is changing and Wendy would be a great governor as the state evolves––she needs our support to do it.

Please sign the petition drafting Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis to run for governor in 2014.

Yours in solidarity,
