Subject: FW: Breaking news: Supreme Court rules in favor of Hobby Lobby in contraceptive case! Mary Wilson, Greater Orlando NOW Pres. "On the Warpath!" "Go Mary!"
Dan, the acronym in first sentence—SCOTUS—puzzled me at first; I finally figured out it stands for Supreme Court of the United States. (It’s close in look & sound to the word, “scrotum”— the SCOTUS is made up of mostly sexist scrotums!)
Rousing remarks from Terry O’neill, national NOW president, at the national NOW conference in Albuquerque. She pointed to the fallacy in the unanimous SCOTUS ruling against 35-foot clinic buffer zones: The 1st Amendment guarantees free speech in a public forum. Challenging patients en route to a clinic for medical care is not 1st-amendment speech. Also, she called on CJ Roberts to remove the 100-foot buffer in front of SCOTUS so women can "counsel" justices. Sign the petition at now.org.
Why is the U.S. Supreme Court deserving of a buffer zone, but clinics that provide abortion care are not? I’m so mad about this decision and the Court’s hypocrisy, that I took action with the National Organization for

When I have the final version of the Resolutions that passed at the conference, I will send them.
