What appeals to you most about joining Gotham Rock Choir?

It seems cool to sing a bunch of rock/pop songs in harmony.

Have you ever been part of a choir before? If so, do you know what vocal part you sing? (It's okay if you don't)

I have been in many choirs (even directed a few) I usually sing Alto. I have sung soprano and tenor, when needed.

Do you play any musical instruments?

no... sadly. Trying to learn guitar... took a piano class in college a long time ago and used to play violin when I was a kid, like a bunch of kids who grew up in the NY public school system.

My name is Vicky. I'm new to meet-up. I am looking for a venue in NY where I can sing and need something other than karaoke. I've been in a bunch of choirs and miss it.

What Victoria L. is saying about this Meetup Group

The atmosphere was awesome. Everyone was friendly and fun. It was good to see sheet music again - it's been so long. Also, since it was my first time, I really appreciated going to the bar afterward. It was a great way to meet people who have been in the choir for a while and get a sense of what to expect.
