Grace Art Events holds weekly life drawing classes in West End on Wednesday and Thursday nights 7-9pm at Kurilpa Hall, 174 Boundary St, West End. Our aim at Grace Art Events is to spice things up and put some LIFE into drawing! Bringing Brisbane a variety of models, with traditional nudes to vaudeville costumed theme nights. We have a fortnightly rotation of a traditional nude model and a vaudeville costumed model on Wednesdays and traditional nude sessions on Thursdays.

BYO your own drawing materials, (sorry no oils or acrylics allowed in the hall) some paper, charcoal & pastels are available for use.

These are untutored classes designed to develop your drawing techniques through practice. These classes suit beginners and trained artists alike, we encourage you to learn from one another, in developing your creativity! In this class we start with 1 minute warm-ups and work our way up to 10-15 minute poses.

If you are a complete beginner we would recommend the book "Drawing on the Right Side of The Brain" which is available on the shop section of our website at

There is no need to book ahead, just turn up. Classes are $15 per person to help cover costs of hall hire and life models.

Photos from the drawing sessions are posted on our Facebook page at along with lots of arts info, art competitions, arts music and performace events. Many of our costume models are performers, musicians, designers and artists and we share their upcoming events also.

Vaudeville Costumed Events

These are for those of you who are a little bored with traditional nude life drawing and want to spice it up! Still based with the human form, we have different performers from around Brisbane to sit and model for us for the night. Burlesque, pin up, circus, belly dance, clowns, dancers, even actors in everyday costume such as a builder! We aim to tickle your fancy with a new surprise to draw each fortnight. Check our facebook page ( to see what's coming up! Everyone, no matter your level of skill or experience is welcome!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
