Introduction

My name is Don. I am a magazine Writer & Photographer. I create exhibits of my photography work which have been featured throughout the NY and Ct areas. I really enjoy meetups run by George. At these events, I've met many interesting and fun people.

People want to "fix me up", but my answer is, "I'm not broken!" Do tou think singles are sometimes viewed in a negetive light?

No! We've become a much more accepting society. For over half of the 20th Century unmarried, or divorced, people were frowned upon. Ie; the 1950's movie "Marty" with Ernest Borgnine. It centers around the shame of Marty & his buddy not being married.

What is the best way to meet people?

At social events like Gramatan Singles & PWP. If you can spend some time talking with a person, a connection might develop. If it doesn't, so what! The important thing is you gave it a try. It's like the Lottery. You've got to be in it to win it!

What would be a good topic for our next Discussion Group?

Funny Experiences Night. In my opinion, the best way for people to loosen up at a singles gathering is listen to and, perhaps, even tell a few jokes; as well as relate some funny experiences they've had in their lives. Another idea: an art discussion.

What Made you Laugh the Hardest?

The movie "Young Frankenstein." I've also laughed pretty hard around people who are truly funny! Laughter is the best medicine. It's non-toxic, and can really improve your stress level. This all reminds me of a penguin joke I can't get into here.
