One of our members recently suggested that it might be fun to get together for a dinner meeting and we'd like to get some feedback.
Our members are from diverse backgrounds and we'd like to know if there is any interest in getting together for a potluck featuring foods (and drink) from various Hispanic cultures. Elane & I are really excited about the idea because we like food in general and love trying new things. Being from a Dutch background I promise NOT to bring sausage and mashed potatoes and promise to contribute something with a more Latin flavor.
Please let us know what kind of interest there is. If there is enough, we might try to do it in March.
Depending on the level of interest, the location may become an issue. Our house doesn't have a great layout for entertaining but we would gladly make it available. The bad part is that we live outside of Wayland making a longer drive for most. If you have a suitable location available that is more centrally located, please let us know that as well.
Thanks and hope to see you all at the next Meetup on Feb. 16.
Meet local Spanish language and culture lovers for conversation and fun! Come to a Spanish Language Meetup and make new amigos as you practice speaking, discover new phrases, and share experiences! All ages and levels welcome.
We normally meets two times each month; on the first and third Saturday mornings of the month.
This group is an ideal venue for people who have a little Spanish that they want to improve and also for those who just want an opportunity to keep what they know fresh. You do not have to be fluent in Spanish to participate in our group as we will all learn from each other so don't be afraid! You're unlikely to need more help than the organizers.
While your RSVP will assist us with planning, do not hesitate to come if you forget. We normally have between 12-20 attendees with a large portion being drop-ins. We look forward to seeing you.
