New Meeting: Una fiesta para comer demasiada cucina Latina

From: Keith & E.
Sent on: Monday, February 18, 2008 1:18 PM
Announcing a new meeting for The Grand Rapids Spanish Language Meetup Group!

What: Una fiesta para comer demasiada cucina Latina

When: Saturday, March 8, 7:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Who should come: We had a great suggestion that we should have a potluck of foods from Spanish speaking countries so here it is. We already have a volunteer for Puerto Rican. Elane & I plan to make some Sopa de Tarasca, guacamole, and who knows what else from Mexico.

Why: This should be a great opportunity to try out some new foods and snacks. And BYOB; it is a fiesta afterall.

Meeting Description: A few important notes!!!

RSVP soon!!! If there is still room as the potluck approaches,we may extend the invitation to the Epicurean Meetup Group and would hate to leave one of our group out. And please feel free to bring a guest or two, even if they are not learning Spanish. I expect that there will be ample opportunity to converse in either language.

DO NOT USE MAPQUEST or a GPS to find our house. We've had bad luck with that. We don't want you lost and cell phone coverage is spotty. The linked map is correct or you can follow these directions...

Take US 131 south to the Wayland exit. Go left (east). There is a stop light downtown; go straight 3 miles past the stoplight (watch your speed) to 4th Street and turn right (south). (It's one of the few roads that you can turn both north and south on.) We are about 1/4 mile south on the right. It is a white 2 story.

If you live on the south side of Grand Rapids, you can take Kalamazoo Avenue all the way to our house (Kalamazoo Ave becomes 4th St. just north of us). After you drive around Green Lake, we're 1/4 mile past the 2nd stop sign.
