Just let it rip! I bet you have a good voice. Do you sing when you play guitar at home? I don't even know how I really sound. I should record myself and realize-I should not sing ;)

I do sing and play at home.. voice is okay. Not very strong and sometimes I have a hard time matching the key. Maybe I can try something easy like I know you Rider

Easier songs: I Know You Rider, Loser, Cold Rain and Snow, Me & Bobby McGee, Not Fade Away, Beat It On Down the Road...

Though not a simple song, I'd like to do Jack Straw. Anyone know it? If not, I will scrap it.

I agree to try to keep most of the songs on the simpler side so everyone can play. Also, we can write on a white board the song's chords.

    • Fernando F.

Great idea. Or maybe even just letter sized papers we can tape up and write the chords in big letters.

I was thinking that people come up with songs they would like to play. Make sure to include some relatively simpler songs, chord wise, since the expertise level can vary and we want everyone to feel comfortable. It's easy to have too many guitars, so should be willing to rotate on some songs and just sing (don't worry about whether you can sing or not, I know I can't). Too many drummers, we can get congas to play as well.

    Here is a start:
    Bertha
    Big Railroad Blues
    Franklin's Tower
Going Down the Road Feeling Bad
    Mama Tried
    US Blues
    Sugaree

I have a lot of Dead Songs in a songbook as well that people can use to follow along.
