Workingman's Monthly Electric Jam

Please state what you'll be playing in your RSVP to make it easy to track.

Here's a list of some stuff we have been playing at the last several jams.

Big Boss Man

Bertha

Ramble on Rose

Sugaree

Cold Rain and Snow

GDTRFB

Beat It On Down the Line

Friend of the Devil

Sugar Magnolia

Brokedown Palace

What we haven't been doing is working on some of the bigger jam vehicle tunes. We should make a spot in the third hour just after the 'Safety Meeting in the Stairwell' jam to bust out an Eyes, Dark Star, ScarletFire, etc.

We should go through these until we devolve into the usual 'call something out clockwise setlist'

I'll sign up for drums. If another drummer signs up I will rent the congas and split the time. If two bass players sign up, we will look into another room.

4 guitars is fine as long as everyone listens and plays the same song at the same time :)

I understand the Dead spirit Buff, it just becomes a cacophony, even when there's 3 guitars. Note: there are now 4 guitars now signed up. We are not playing in a very spacious place (louder/more crowded). Sitting out/singing a few tunes is a reasonable idea.

"We can share the guitars we can share the wine". I don't like the idea of cutting people out. I for one would be more than willing to sit out/sing harmonies for a number of tunes. I look at this as a time to hang out with people who celebrate the Dead.

Can we close the # of guitarists at 3?

This jam is set for Studio C. I cancelled the acoustic room. As of now there are three guitars and no drums in the electric room.

Just confirming my understanding that this jam is still 3-6 PM on this Saturday, 3/15 in the Studio. What room letter is it in?

    March 9, 2014

Jam is still set for the 15th but I will be swinging an ice ax in the mountains. I was reminded that I have another commitment on the 22nd.

    March 7, 2014

  • Buffinton W.

Michael, you meant the 22nd right?

    March 7, 2014

Can I move this to the 21st? March 15th is the last weekend that Adirondack High Peaks count as 'winter' High Peaks.

    March 6, 2014

    • Ted

Sorry, can't do the 21st (Friday).
