The Golden Road to this Saturday's Jams

Acoustic Jam- We currently have three people signed up.  2 guitars and I will be singing, playing banjo and soft drums.  We could use more people to play & sing, especially mandos, fiddles, washboards.  I will reach out to those attending and see if they feel this is worth doing.

Electric Jam- We have a pretty solid base built as drums, bass and rhythm are covered.  We could use a lead guitarist, a keyboard player, and possibly a second bass player.

My intentions are to hold jams that celebrate the spirit and music of the Grateful Dead.  I want these to be for all skill levels where the more advanced players pull the others along.  We are going to start with Pigpen stuff and move our way towards the more complicated songs.

We can have more than one bass, more than one drummer, etc as long as we leave room for each other or switch off.  I am not trying to form a band.  I like the idea that each month there is a new cast of characters that share in this music and meet each other for a 3 hour window.

If you joined the group but have not attended a jam, this Saturday is the time to try it. We have 150 members and I've met less than 40 of you.  We have a good group this Saturday, we can write up chord changes on the white board, and at the end of the day it's usually $10 each.

If you do sign up please list what instrument you will be playing in your RSVP to make it easy to track.
