This was my first hike with the Grayhawk Hiking Club and Barb Zeller was a wonderful Host. The hike was wonderful and my fellow hikers were a pleasure to be with. Thank you for making my first hike with a group a great one!

Hi, I have a question. When you hike as a group, do you stay together? Do some go faster, some slower? Do you go at your own rate and wait up at a certain point? Just wondering.

We start out as a group and naturally split into smaller groups according to speed. Periodically, the leader does stop so the group can all come together, especially at trail junctions. We also assign a person to be the "sweep" to make sure no one is left behind. For this hike, I will most likely be the sweep and another, faster hiker will be the lead.
