Introduction

Hi, I hike with several groups and am always looking for new groups to have more choices of hikes. Hope to see you on trail.

Have you read and do you agree with the Risks and Waiver of Liability document? The document is located on the "Pages" tab. Please answer "Yes" or "No". You may add additional comments if you wish.

Yes.

What is your connection to the Grayhawk community in north Scottsdale? Current or former resident? Friend of residents? (This is not a requirement to be a member of this group, but please read our description to see if this group is right for you.)

No, I live in the far southeast valley but don't mind travelling, although I probably won't shou up at any meetings, just the hikes.

How would you rate your experience level as a hiker? (New hiker or new to hiking in Arizona; Have some hiking experience; Experienced hiker - just point me to the trail)

Intermediate to difficult.

Is there some maximum distance you are comfortable with? We realize this can vary based on trail difficulty, so please just give a general estimate.

Like at least 10 miles regularly with more as I work up to bigger hikes like Rim to Rim.

What is your favorite trail (or trails) in Arizona? Do you have any specific hiking goals?

Love to hike the Grand Canyon and really would like to do more than the corridor trails. Current goals are a 3 day backpack in Yosemite (I'm new to backpacking), and possibly a Rim to Rim Back to Back in Sept./Oct.

  • Probably mine. It was a consolation prize in a raffle. Doesn't look like there are many moderate hiking opportunities with H.H.H., so don't worry about retuning it. Thanks, Larry
