Monthly Wrench Day

This is an open shop day for people who want to perform basic maintenance such as an oil change or would like to install that new accessory. Or if you don't have any work you want to do but you'd like to help others do some work or just want to hang out and shoot the breeze then come on over.

I've got: - A large heated space completely protected from the weather - Harbor Freight table lift - second motorcycle jack - decent assortment of basic tools - air compressor - dealers for Harley, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Triumph within a few miles in case you need to buy a part from them - a refrigerator with sodas and beer

What you would need to bring: - your bike - whatever supplies/parts you are installing or replacing - install instructions, owners manual, factory service manual, Haynes or Chilton manual, print outs of web pages, whatever documents you have for your bike and the work you want to perform.
- a small donation to help cover the cost of consumables (aka beer money)

Truly had a great time today, this may make me reconsider getting a bike sooner. Hope everyone got home safe and have a great rest of the weekend!

I don't know if anybody else has any work to do but I plan to pull the new exhaust back off and install the heat shields. As long as it's off I'll pull the O2 sensor and install the auto tune unit for the Power Commander.

I'm just glad we were all able to figure it out (mostly Ken) and it was a simple fix.

It was great meeting new people with the same vigor I have for doing my own work to my bike.

I am planning to finally mount those turn signals. Ken, are set up to solder / crimp connectors? I recall you working on electricals a couple of meetings ago.

I even have a really nice ratcheting wire crimp that I bought a few weeks ago.

I won't have anything to work on but excited to learn the ins and outs of a motorcycle when I get one. What's everyone's preference of beverages?

The fridge has water, pepsi, sierra mist, yuengling, a variety of beers from sam adams, and a few other brands of beer.

Sounds ambitious. At least the nuts should come right off this time! I don't know nuthin' about birthin' no O2 sensors given the space age carburated technology on my KLR! Sorry I'll miss it.

Looking forward to my first wrench day with a group of people who share the same interests. Not sure I will have any work to do on my own bike, but look forward to hanging out and helping anybody who needs a hand.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
