It's Fall and that means it's time to go backpacking so off we go, we are going to campsite # 58 in the GSMNP this is a nice trail with only slight elevation change of around a 1000 feet by now our backpacking crew has the brown book and can read up on the details and highlights of this trail it follows Deep Creek all the way to the campsite as we get closer we can get together on a carpool point.

    OK Car Pool West KNOX ! Not Planning on being on the trail head a 5:45 am ? Not Planning on jumping in a cold mountain stream to chase little fish? I thinking leaving West Knox at about 7 am. Any one with a little more sanity than Kevin care to join me?
