Hi John....I have a question about the Piney River hike. Last weekend I hiked LeConte and then the next day Charlie's Bunion....have a really sore achilles.. I'm trying to avoid a lot of hills until it feels better--how hilly will this hike be? I looked up the trail and it said just 800' elevation gain but will we gain and lose that several times throughout the day? Thanks!
