Senior Front End UI Developer

Move Inc. is seeking a talented individual skilled in HTML/CSS/JQuery to join team in Campbell, CA as a Sr. Front end Developer for our flagship site With over 10 million unique users every month, we are the leading real estate portal for consumers and agents/brokers. This position will help drive the design for and multiple Move network websites and platform initiatives. The successful candidate has solid interaction and visual design skills. They have a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, usable interfaces. This position also requires interaction with cross-functional teams that include Product Managers, User Researchers, User Experience Design teams and Engineering teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create standards-compliant, cross-browser-compatible HTML & CSS for visual designs with pixel-level accuracy and attention to detail
• Write and integrate with client-side application code (e.g. JQuery) as needed
• Develop rapid prototypes of potential new products, features, or widgets (e.g. Facebook apps, Google widgets etc.) either as proof of concept or to assist in requirements identification
• Optimize performance of client-side code taking into account issues of page weight, complexity, SEO, network, user perception, and other effects
• Help design and maintain a visually appealing website, with cool visual effects, ease of use and cross browser consistency
Education, Skills and Experience:
• 5-7 years public facing website experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred
• HTML(5) / XHTML and CSS(3) mastery including thorough knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
• Expertise in JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and other client-side technologies
• Experience developing widgets, cool visual effects, contributing to the glamor of the website’s appearance and ease of use
• Team player with excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize, follow-up on action items
Desired Skills:
• Optimization of JavaScript and Best Practices for JS usage
• Familiarity with .Net environment and Visual Studio
