Ian Ennis is going to give us an "Introduction to iPython Notebook."
A browser based fronted to a ZMQ based computational service, iPython Notebook provides a rich environment for exploratory computing. This environment turns out to also be an excellent tool for sharing experimental results and is enjoying rapid adoption in some scientific communities.
Dana Lank will talk about XML/WebServices in Gosu. XML is actually presented as a sort of DSL on top of Gosu by using the Gosu custom typeloader mechanism along with some core language features that were added specifically to make working with XML easier despite those language features not being strictly XML specific.
We look forward to seeing you there!
