Kyle Bravo, author of "Making Stuff & Doing Things" was kind enough to give me permission to print his advice on:

1) food safety
2) general diving tips
3) dive locating tips

He is not a food expert, so if you want official advice, try the USDA or FDA. Note that both also offer recall lists tht you can sign onto. Knowing what has been recalled can steer youy away from truly bad food in the trash and save your life! (For those who went on the last dive, think cantaloupes!) (If you don't know what has been recalled and you find a ton of something, especially relative to everything else you've found, then it is worth avoiding or eating with great caution.)

Also, we don't endorse all of Bravo's tactics. For instance, if there are plenty of dumpsters that are easy to get into and get stuff from, why make life hard for others and bother with the legal ramifications that can arise from breaking the lock on the one dumpster you can't access?

Lastly, if profanity bothers you, avoid pages 186-188.
