I am a 20 year old female who recently moved to JP and can barely afford food. I really want to start diving in the area but don't know any good spots and I don't have a car or a bike so it would be awesome to be able to hook up with someone with transportation. Anyone in the area have any tips for me? I have dumpstered the Trader Joes near Woburn before and had great luck!

Should we schedule a meetup for JP? I have to confess that I don't know any JP areas, per se, to dive at.

Also, for food in general, try Food Not Bombs. They get their food from leftover CSA's (which I guess is a kind of mutually consensual diving) and have great insights into where to get free food, in addition to their Friday and Sunday meals. If you (or any members) have time, it's a great group to get involved with. If you don't have time, just get some food there sometime:

Lastly, a source of abundant food is Haymarket Square as the markets are closing. Get there too late, and much of it is bulldozed into oblivion:
