Update - Google Maps is showing the address slightly inaccurately. (Garmin GPS has it right).
Here's a Map with the corrected address location
Starting in May we are starting to offer "Labs on the Lake". These will be hands on interactive labs covering many different topics. You DO need to bring your own laptop. We will provide free wifi and power. Seating is limited which is why we are keeping the number of attendees low. We will repeat some topics on multiple days so that more people can attend.
This week we will kick off our first Lab on the Lake covering the following topics:
WordPress Installation
WordPress Setup and Configuration
WordPress Theme Design
You can come and relax in a Jelly like meetup. Brett Bumeter will be working as the mentor to help guide people through the above topics. If you are only interested in 1 topic, that's fine, these will be work at your own pace, with help and guidance as you need it.
Come prepared to DO SOMETHING! This will not be a talking head sessions. :) Those are good, but these labs will be hands on training/learning/development sessions.
The start time is 1:30 - getting organized and setup
2:00 pm actually starting the Lab
4:00 pm Ending the Lab, break down and head out
Some of these events will be broadcast on the internet, with more details to come.
Future events will cover plugins, strategies, monetization, business planning for website owners, and website planning for business owners and much much more. The Labs on the Lakes will not be strictly limited to WordPress topics, but WP will be one of our primary tools of choice.
*Fees will vary on these in the future based on topic, demand, costs and other issues, but we will look to keep these as cheap as possible!
