This Weeks Topic - Migrating Multiple Sites into WordPress CMS

This week we will discuss the strategy and steps for migrating and consolidating multiple sites into WordPress as a Content Management System.

This might be considered an advanced topic for people that are considering doing this themselves.

This might be considered an intermediate topic for people that are considering hiring someone to do this.

Each week we will come together on Google Hangouts in a group video chat and dive into interesting new WordPress concepts. The date and time will shift from one week to the next to increase potential participation and some weeks we will have multiple opportunities to meet on either new topics or a repeat of the same topic with a new set of members.

The events will be live streamed for those that can't attend (attendance will be limited) and it will be recorded and posted to YouTube soon after the event ends.

Combining sites isn't difficult but it is multi-stepped & tedious.
Its great to know how its done - can make time vs. money choices.

Hi Kenney and Janet, you should have received an invite by now via your gmail address previously provided at the time of sign up!

    Are you up yet?

Quick reminder to everyone, we WILL still be meeting despite the weather. :) Since everything is online, no worries mostly.

You should receive an email invite to the Google Hangouts event via the gmail address your provided during the sign up for this event.

The invites will come about 10-15 minutes before the event. You can join early if you like and we'll help you work through any technological bugs you might have with audio or video and help you get familiar with Google Hangouts before the actual meetup begins.

Where are you meeting tomorrow? What about the weather?

@Lisa "seems pretty advanced but I actually need this so I'm a gonna do my best to keep up!"

This will be a little more theory and approach as opposed to step by step how to. This might give you some perspective on whether or not you are ready to tackle this yourself or whether you need to wait or find some help. It can be something that can be practiced as well repeatedly in a test site until you get it right, right enough or just lucky!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
