Making Whole Grain Bread - From Grinding to Baking

Jaricia has kindly agreed to teach a class on breadmaking using whole grains, perhaps making whole grain waffles and talking about other things like kefir, beet kavas, kombucha, and how to properly prepare other whole grains. The class is limited to eight people (sorry no children) so please only RSVP "Yes" if you really intend on coming. There will be a materials fee of $5 - which includes everything you need to bring home your very own fresh loaf of homemade, whole grain bread!

Jaricia teaches this class with Colorado Free University but they charge $49. plus a material fee. Since she wants to share the experience with the group she will only ask for the materials fee if someone wants to take home her notes and bread. Class would probably run to about 3pm since it has to include everything from grinding the grains to letting the dough raise (while we chat) and baking.

This meetup was really fun. I learned a lot even after making bread for 30 years, and Jaricia was so generous with her knowledge and experience.

Great host, really informative, good company, and the best part about it was bringing home kefir starter, kombucha babies, a handful of red wigglers, and a loaf of heavenly bread!!! Thanks Jaricia, for your warm hospitality!

What a great Meetup! Jaricia went over making bread with various grains. We made three different types of breads during the class and as a treat made waffles from scratch. There were absolutely delicious! We had some bonus conversations on worms, kombucha, and kafir that gave me a couple more projects. The company was great and the location perfect!

It was a good class that focused on making wholesome bread from start to finish & at the end we each got to bring home a delicious loaf of bread!

The class far exceeded my expectations! The enviroment she invited us into was warm and friendly. She not only taught us about the various grains and aspects of making bread from scratch, she also provided segments on nutritional references, making cheese, housing worms and even a bit about raising goats. Jareesa lavished us with her knowledge on all of these subjects and more. Everyone in our group contributed rheir knowledge and or experience on various homesteading subjects. We even discussed our "Adventures with chickens". It was an afternoon well spent!! Thank you!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
