3435 Albion Street, Denver, CO
Join Denver’s community gardening pioneer Judy Elliott for organic gardening workshops this season hosted at The Garden. All classes will be held 2-3:30pm. $15 fee covers instructor time and materials. An optional light buffet including quinoa salad, kale salad, soup & beverages will also be available for $10.
This workshop will introduce participants to techniques that allow them to turn commonly discarded materials, such as weeds, pesticide – free grass clippings, perennial pruning’s, non-meat food waste and fall leaves into natures’s richest soil amendment, compost. Compost has the ability to hold its weight in water, can reduce or eliminate the need for chemical fertilizers and promotes the growth of nutrient – rich produce.
