ArgusFest 7/23 7PM: What Honeybees Taught Me About Pesticides

Systemic pesticides have become pervasive in our environment and they are poisoning all living things. Don Studinski, beekeeper, teacher and author found himself, unexpectedly, in the position of Colorado State Beekeepers Association Pesticide Committee Chairman. As a result, he has learned about the convoluted mess we call the pesticide industry.
In this talk, Don will explain how the public is essentially kept in the dark about the billions of pounds of poisons being used. He will show how government is contributing to the problem. And he will finish showing poison connections in the food chain all the way from insects to mammals. This presentation is intended to provide facts and increase awareness. Actions that may provide solutions are left to the imagination of the listener.

    I will likely be doing this presentation again for other audiences. If you missed it, please notify me and I can keep you informed. I already have a list started. If you have a civic organization, club, neighborhood HOA or whatever that would want to learn this material, I am willing to consider engagements.

    Don was an apt presenter and really drove home the threats of systemic pesticides to bees, other insects, and beyond. Few people understand what a systemic pesticide is or the far-reaching impacts of these now ubiquitous chemicals.

    I am EXTREMELY interested in attending this, but I will be out of town. Is there any way to get an email or a handout with some of the information? Thanks!

    I highly recommend everyone attend this informative presentation. Don has put a lot of energy into studying this issue & his passion & compassion will be obvious. This is a crucial issue that affects US ALL & a lack of knowledge will not protect one from its environmental degradation. Thank YOU, Don for caring & for sharing! Michael :-}

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
