At this event we will show you the complete process from live bird to meat in the freezer. We will only be doing the one bird so please plan on arriving on time.
At the Living Systems Institute we incubate one batch of chicks each year. The little hens are distributed to team members for home egg production and we feed out the little roosters for 18 weeks. Then you have to butcher them. The other scenario is when your hens start getting older and are not laying enough to pay for the feed . . . or when that little hen turns out to be a rooster. Learn to do your own butchering and take advantage of these sources of nutrition.
