Green Tomato Relish/Chutney canning

We will gather at LSI Classroom/Peggy Gates and chop, grind, mix, season our way to some delicious Piccadilly, green tomato relish, chutney, etc. - you can learn how and, if you bring ingredients, take some home! I will provide ingredient list if requested.

    We had a very productive day! 6 pints of Tomatillo Salsa, 14 pints of Piccalilly (green tomato, peppers, onions, cabbage relish) 7 quarts of red tomatoes, and 5 quarts of Honey Habanero Hot Sauce! Green tomato chutney and pickled green pear tomatoes with garlic, red peppers and dill are still to come this week.

    I would have loved to attend except that since we already had a hard frost I picked all my green tomatoes, found a great recipe for salsa online, and canned 32 jars of yummy green tomato salsa yesterday.
