Rescheduled Meet and Greet - Why Wait Until Next Month?

From: Everett S.
Sent on: Thursday, January 22, 2009 8:26 PM
The original date will be used for our first event so please keep it in your calendars. However, I've added a date for us to meet and discuss what that first and future events might be like. I hope you can attend and help us plan a fun, meaningful and useful group!

What: Rescheduled Meet and Greet - Why Wait Until Next Month?

When: January 26,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: I didn't think more than a couple of people would sign up in the first week, which is why I wanted to give the first meetup some time. But now that we have close to a dozen members in the first day, why wait until next month?

Let's have the first meet-n-greet on Monday evening at the Fainting Goat (what better name for a bunch of homesteading enthusiasts?) on 846 South Broadway - former home of Moon Time.

The Fainting Goat was chosen for it's name, not because this is going to be a group that drinks all the time - not that there's anything wrong with a few beers amongst friends. :-) I've never been there so I hope it works out. If not, we'll pick a better place next time.

What Will Happen at This Meetup
We're all going to get to know each other and talk about some ideas for the group. I hope we can plan our first "real" meetup, where we can get down to business doing something fun like a big canning project, hearing a guest speaker talk about something like permaculture, or maybe even going to visit a working farm of some sort to learn a thing or two. It's all up to US and I can't wait to meet my fellow members!
